WE ARE IN CALI!
No, not California...Cali, the birth city of salsa dancing in Colombia!


Currently sitting in a cafe shop nearby our hostel, doing some work and just relaxing because our bus ride here was pretty exhausting. This is the first hostel we are staying at, it's called Casa Blanca. It's a pretty nice hostel for its price and we have our own bedroom with a private bath. You will see that AirBnB and hostels here are pretty cheap and especially for us (a couple traveling together), it's easier and cheaper to just get our own space.

We will be here for 3 full days, then leaving on Thursday to Ipiales, which is a border city (between Colombia and Ecuador). Tomorrow will be another exploring-the-city day...so since we didn't do much, this one will be a short one.

The Adventure Begins | Museum Day ● Bogotá, Colombia

It's been a great few days here in Bogotá! On Friday, August 4th, we woke up to an overcast day & slightly sprinkling. We were thinking of going to visit Monserrate today, but since the weather was overcasted, we decided to save it for another day. Instead, it seemed like the perfect day to visit museums around the area. First thing in the morning, I get to look forward to this: Breakfast Made by Tim 😍 We headed out around 12pm to the bus station. Tim did most of the navigation of which bus we need to get on to go to the Museo del Oro. But getting to the bus station was pretty easy and all you need is to buy one of their bus cards (they're rechargeable for multiple uses). We got to the Museo del Oro (Gold Museum) and it was $4.000 per ticket. We also got the audio tour, which was $8.000 (There were English captions, so honestly the audio tour was something we didn't really need). The museum was nice. Onto The Next Chapter | Travel Day ● Medellín, Colombia

Our Beautiful View in Bogotá (2017-08-10) Today, we flew out of Bogotá to Medellín (about 30-40 minutes flight) with VivaColombia . I had purchased the tickets in advance ($63 for 2 of us), not including our 2 checked baggage and boarding pass which came out to be about $60. Note: If you can, print out our boarding passes at your hotel or hostel because they charge you to print it at the airport and you need a physical copy of the pass (can't be on your phone).  We arrived in Medellín at 16:30 and prior to arriving, I had arranged a private driver to pick us up (he was recommended by our friends who just moved to Colombia). He's a super nice guy and speaks perfect English! He gave us some tips and suggestions on where to go and what to do. Spring Bucket List 2017

I can't even count how many different bucket lists I've done my entire life, & had rarely accomplished anything on them. In Summer '12, I came up with an idea to make a bucket list that was doable. I figured out how many days there were in summer (June 20th to Sept 22nd) and created a list of 94 things I wanted to do before summer ended. I can't remember where I put that list or even what I had on that list. I had so much fun doing it and it motivated me to go out & do things! According to Google, Spring 2017 in Northern Hemisphere will start on Monday, March 20 and will end on Tuesday, June 20, which means there is 92 days of spring.
