Going, Going, Back to Back...to Cali, Cali | What to do... ● Cali, Colombia

Today was our last full day in Cali...and it's been fun so far!
Yesterday afternoon, we went on a hike at a nearby park...hoping to get a good cityscape view.


It was extremely hot and so we hiked back down and headed home to rest, still feeling tired from the traveling.

Tim has a friend who lives in Cali and we met up with him yesterday night. We ate on the rooftop at El Zaguan de San Antonio (if you're ever in the area, definitely should try this restaurant). I didn't take any photos, but the main dish we ordered with an assortment of meat and potatoes called Fritanga Picada. I really wish I took a photo of it, but for sure...next time, I'd come back for that!
After dinner, we walked around and learned about the city from the locals (our friends). It was a fun night and they gave us great recommendations on what to eat and do in Cali.

Today we did some exploring on our own. Tried more Colombian food and saw more Colombian sights 😄

After lunch, we walked around San Antonio again to check out what they have there during the day.
We walked past one of their famous churches, Iglesia Ermita.

As we were walking, I love seeing more street art. Cali doesn't have a lot of murals like Bogotá, but it has enough unique pieces that I thought was awesome!

I definitely feel like if we spent more than here in Cali, we would be able to get to know more about the city. Unfortunately due to our limited time here, we didn't try any salsa lessons (plus I was too scared to do it...) But there's always next time!! 
Overall, our visit to Cali seem short, yet it was a lot of fun and it was really nice to meet Tim's friend. Hopefully we will be able to visit again soon!

The Adventure Begins | Museum Day ● Bogotá, Colombia

It's been a great few days here in Bogotá! On Friday, August 4th, we woke up to an overcast day & slightly sprinkling. We were thinking of going to visit Monserrate today, but since the weather was overcasted, we decided to save it for another day. Instead, it seemed like the perfect day to visit museums around the area. First thing in the morning, I get to look forward to this: Breakfast Made by Tim 😍 We headed out around 12pm to the bus station. Tim did most of the navigation of which bus we need to get on to go to the Museo del Oro. But getting to the bus station was pretty easy and all you need is to buy one of their bus cards (they're rechargeable for multiple uses). We got to the Museo del Oro (Gold Museum) and it was $4.000 per ticket. Onto The Next Chapter | Travel Day ● Medellín, Colombia

Our Beautiful View in Bogotá (2017-08-10) Today, we flew out of Bogotá to Medellín (about 30-40 minutes flight) with VivaColombia . I had purchased the tickets in advance ($63 for 2 of us), not including our 2 checked baggage and boarding pass which came out to be about $60. Note: If you can, print out our boarding passes at your hotel or hostel because they charge you to print it at the airport and you need a physical copy of the pass (can't be on your phone).  We arrived in Medellín at 16:30 and prior to arriving, I had arranged a private driver to pick us up (he was recommended by our friends who just moved to Colombia). He's a super nice guy and speaks perfect English! He gave us some tips and suggestions on where to go and what to do. Spring Bucket List 2017

I can't even count how many different bucket lists I've done my entire life, & had rarely accomplished anything on them. In Summer '12, I came up with an idea to make a bucket list that was doable. I figured out how many days there were in summer (June 20th to Sept 22nd) and created a list of 94 things I wanted to do before summer ended. I can't remember where I put that list or even what I had on that list. I had so much fun doing it and it motivated me to go out & do things! According to Google, Spring 2017 in Northern Hemisphere will start on Monday, March 20 and will end on Tuesday, June 20, which means there is 92 days of spring.
