Onto The Next Chapter | Last Day ● Medellín, Colombia
It was our last day in Medellín & this is how we decide to spend it: A quick lunch, then spend some time on the computer, "working" because our travels isn't all play, or is it? 😁
For lunch, we decided to try KOREAN FOOD here in Colombia. Being away from home, one thing we missed the most was Asian Food! Tim walked by a place called Eden Gourmet Bistro. This place is owned by a Korean lady, who came to Colombia for a few years now. She was very nice and even took a photo with us!
We were scheduled to leave Medellín at 23:00 on our first overnight bus. For those who would like to know how we booked our bus, I did some research online and there were a few companies you can go with. I read reviews on Bolivariano and it seemed like the best choice - it was a 10-hour bus ride (Leaving at 23:00 and getting to Cali, Colombia by 9:00...we got in an hour early at 8:00.) Would we take an overnight bus again? Sure, why not! It's cheap ($47 for the both of us) and we save money on staying the night at a hostel/hotel. However, if you plan on taking the overnight bus, I recommend that you wear layers, or bring some kind of blanket for yourself. They blast the AC and it's extremely cold. I bundled up with my jackets, so I was okay. This bus also had WiFi (which was cool, when it worked...everyone was on it, so it was really slow) and they have a TV screen for each seat (Watching Zootopia in Spanish was pretty cool!) There was also enough leg room for Tim, so that's a plus. (After riding buses in Asia, buses in South America aren't too bad!)
Unfortunately because it was too dark, I didn't get any photos of what the buses look like. But it was a comfortable ride and we tried to sleep most of the way to Cali.
We feel really sad to be leaving Medellín because it's been so nice here and comfortable here with our new friends, Mamie and Daniel. We are so appreciative of their hospitality and can't wait to come back to this city!
Thank you Mamie & Daniel for having us!!
We are going to miss this view...
Until next time...

Kimchi & Soju, Bokumbab, Camaron Tempura Roll & Kimchi Sopa
The owner, Gloria Sun (You can follow them on IG: @eden.bistro)
First Time Drinking (More than usual) since we've arrived in South America
The food was decent for Korean food in Colombia. It definitely had a Colombian twist to the flavors.
After lunch, we decided to find a cafe to do some work and just relax for the rest of the day until dinner with Mamie and Daniel and before we leave Medellín.
@Creador Cafe - Very cool vibe and a great place to work and enjoy some coffee
Beef Bone Broth, made by Mamie...DELICIOUS!!
Tim made the salad & Mamie made her amazing salmon sushi rolls!
