The Adventure Begins | Parque Símon Bolívar ● Bogotá, Colombia
It's been half a week since we've been here in Bogotá and to be completely honest, there are so many things to see, yet we really do not want to do a lot of guided tours and "sightseeing" like most travelers would do. This trip for us is more of a self-discovery and learning experience.
With that being said, we decided to stay in on Monday and just work on some photo/video projects.
So I don't really have much to share about what we did yesterday.
Today, we decided to check out the biggest park in Bogotá - Parque Símon Bolívar. We took the P500 bus there, it's one of their smaller buses in the city. It took us straight to the side of the park, then we had to walk around to find the entrance. In the link above, it says that this park is slightly larger than New York's Central Park!!

The first view of the lake (2017-08-08)
I always took photos of our feet whenever I get the chance to.
There's even a traveling family who does this! So cool!
It was a very chill day for us. We walked around the lake to see what else is there. There was some kind of children's soccer event going on. Tim has some footage of a mini dancing "concert" they were having. Of course, I didn't bust out my dance moves...(More like I was too shy to do it).
Another thing I want to work on this trip: CONFIDENCE. Being more "outgoing" and not caring of what people think of me. It's always been my problem, but I am hoping as time goes by, I can break out of that shell.
After watching them dance, we continued to walk further into the park. There are so many things you can do here! They even have a outdoor gym area (just like the ones we saw when we were in Asia) and there were people either having a picnic, flying kites, playing in the sand and playground...etc. It was such a beautiful day!
And that concludes our day at the park. We headed home after and relaxed for the rest of the evening. Thank you for reading thus far...I hope it's not boring for you & that you will continue reading!
Until next time...
